I. Love. Advertising.

Call me a nerd (I am one, so it's really ok), but this video gave me total chills. I, for one, could not be happier that I majored in Advertising. What's wrong with kids today?

But have no fear fellow advertisers, they realized the error of their ways. Now they'll all be begging to get into their favorite college ad program. Muahahaha.

Suckers.

Childhood Dream Come True!

Y'all, I probably experienced one of the best weekends of my whole life this past weekend. Why? Because I went to see Boyz II Men, 98 Degrees and New Kids on the Block in concert with two of my favorite lady friends, Victoria and Kallie. Could not have been a more perfect ladies' night out.

And apparently all the other ladies in the Dallas area had the same idea. I honestly have never been surrounded by so many women. I think Victoria counted a total of 30 men the entire time we were there. AND SO I got to use a men's restroom. Which was an experience.

So, recap. Let me tell you, Boyz II Men sounded amazing. And when they sang "I'll Make Love to You," rose petals fell from the ceiling and they handed out roses to the women in the audience.

Then, 98 Degrees came out (lookin' smoking hot) and put on a mediocre show. So, thank goodness they looked smokin' hot.

And then, FINALLY... my boys. The originals. NKOTB. Came out and just CRUSHED it. They sang, they busted moves and even stripped a little. And Donnie Wahlberg made out with a random lady in the audience. Could not have been any greater. Obviously I freaked out when they started bumpin' to some of the oldies (i.e., "Step by Step" and "Hangin' Tough").

Clearly, Jordan Knight is my favorite. Ok, but while I loved their old stuff, I'm totally dead serious when I say their new stuff is also awesome. I listened to their new album once before the concert and have had it on repeat ALL DAY TODAY. It's so good. My favorite song is the last track. See below for video of the live performance. SO good. So, look it up on your Spotify pronto and let me know what you think - but only if you like it. Because I don't want you to insult my taste in music. I'm DJ Kurri. I can't have people telling me they don't like something I recommend!

19 Things...

to stop doing in your 20s. Yeah, these are probably all true.

I think my favorite and the most applicable to my life right now was #14: "Stop rejecting the potential to feel pain. Suffering is a universal constant for sentient beings. It is not unnatural to suffer. Being in a constant state of suffering is bad. But it is often hard to appreciate happiness when there’s nothing to compare it to. Rejecting the potential to suffer is unsustainable and unrealistic."

Gouge my eyes out. I thought life was supposed to be suffering-free. When I hear the word suffering, I think two things - Lauren Conrad's black tears and Kim Kardashian's ugly cry face. Neither of those sound particularly appealing. Oh well.

My Championship Moment

So, I play on this kickball team, right? Lots of fun, but we went something like 7 straight weeks without winning a game. UNTIL last night. Tornadoes and thunderstorms rolling in, my 4-month-old nephew cheering me on in the stands, determined beyond all reason.

And boom. It happened. We won. And I'm pretty sure I almost had a moment like this.

Ok, so maybe it was a moment more deserving of like, a picture of the New Orleans Hornets actually winning a game. But I had about as much pride as Brandi Chastain had in this moment of winning the 1999 FIFA Women's World Cup final.

Plus, the team that jams to music and eats snacks while playing together, is happier together. And that's a quote you can attribute to Kari Ensign, Team Mom.

I Die. Again.

So, yesterday's post was about how I want John Krasinski to be my husband. If I could just get this child to be mine, my life would be complete. Seriously, how ADORABLE is he??

Someone Photoshop a picture of the three of us so I can see what a beautiful family we'd make. John, Kari and Kai Krasinski. Sounds perfect to me.

I Die

I literally HAVE to marry John Krasinski. I just have to. Because I almost started crying with joy while watching this video. I honestly don't think I've ever been more in love. I have a lot of boyfriends, but this video is the reason John is my one true husband.

John, please, please, PLEASE leave Emily and come be with me. We can go to Harry Potter Land and experience Diagon Alley together next year! Or someone find me a look-a-like. PRONTO!!!

One week soda-free, suckas. So far I'm kicking soda's trash. Boom.
