So usually I include songs with my blog posts. This time I have a post solely about a song.
I was listening to the radio yesterday and heard this song. I don't even like country music that much so it must have been destined that I hear this.
She was starin' out the window of their SUV
Complainin', sayin', "I can't wait to turn eighteen"
She said, "I'll make my own money and I'll make my own rules"
Momma put the car in park out there in front of the school
And she kissed her head and said, "I was just like you"
You're gonna miss this
You're gonna want this back
You're gonna wish these days
Hadn't gone by so fast.
These are some good times
So take a look around
You may not know it now
But you're gonna miss this
Clearly I've only made it past the graduating high school and moving on to college part, but it's good to know that it is ok to miss those times. Thanks for helping me feel better about that, Trace.
Feel better, Katie Walton? Me too.
